Sir Paul Ruddock to speak at Art Fund debate
The Chairman of the V&A will be joined by leading figures from the UK art scene, including Michael Craig-Martin and Marc Quinn, to explore Britain's future on the world art stage.
Titled Art Without Frontiers, the debate will take place at the British Museum on Wednesday 7 November, examining the development of markets in Asia and elsewhere, the effect on the UK, and the challenges and opportunities both now and in the future.
A keynote speech by Sir Paul Ruddock – Chairman of the V&A, philanthropist and collector – will be followed by three separate conversations exploring the future of British art for the art trade, museums, and the artists themselves. Other speakers include Robin Vousden, Director of London’s Gagosian Gallery and Iwona Blazwick, Director of the Whitechapel Gallery. Sir Paul Ruddock, Chairman of the V&A, collector and philanthropist will deliver the keynote speech.
