Overview

Showcasing the work of Alexei Shulgin and Aristarkh Chernyshev, Electroboutique Pop-up is aimed at creating what the artists call 'creative consumption'.

Exhibits such as the wowPod, which invites visitors to plug in their iPods to experience their tunes and videos in a new way, and Final Adjustment, a padded TV that changes picture when struck, encourage interaction from visitors, while a giant distorted iPhone and a digital mirror TV that shows viewers their own 'tele-portrait' reflection provide a playful contemporary perspective on art and consumerism.

These artworks are placed in context by a display of technological milestones, including the first Apple computer and early telephones and TVs.
