This is the first exhibition to celebrate the extraordinary artistic outpourings that volcanic activity has triggered over the past five centuries.
The spectacular images on show range from 16th-century engravings recording cataclysmic eruptions to a selection of paintings by Joseph Wright, Turner and Andy Warhol, depicting the dramatic and destructive power of nature.
