Fra Angelico to Leonardo: Italian Renaissance Drawings

 |  British Museum  |  22 April - 25 July 2010

50% off with National Art Pass  |  Full venue & entry details

In collaboration with the Uffizi in Florence, the British Museum presents over 100 exquisite drawings by great Italian masters of the Renaissance, including Jacopo and Gentile Bellini, Botticelli, Carpaccio, Filippo Lippi, Mantegna, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian and Verrocchio.

The exhibition looks at the evolution of drawings and reveals that, for many artists of the 15th century, preparatory drawing became increasingly important as a means of developing greater realism in painting and sculpture.
