Art Fund Prize Special Event: Reception and Tour of the Centre of New Enlightenment at Kelvingrove

Art Fund Event  |  Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum  |  Monday, 6 April 2009

Reduced price with National Art Pass  |  Full venue & entry details

Kelvingrove has reached the long-list stage of the 2009 Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries.

The Centre of New Entitlement is a permanent programme of experience, events and opportunities that begin with a cinematic and hand–held computer tour for young people at Kelvingrove. The aim is to use the museum to help young people develop life skills and to apply them in different circumstances enabling them to discover their own character strengths and improve their self confidence.

The space, the activities and the support were created with the help of a five million pound donation from the charity of Sir Tom Hunter.

This evening event is a reception with canapes and wine together with an address by Dr John-Paul Sumner, the Learning and Access Curator, followed by a tour of the centre whilst some children will be participating.
