A collection of 6 pieces of oriental ceramics: 1) late 16th century dish with pair of Phoenix; 2) early 17th century 'swattow' type bowl; 3) Qing Bai four handled jar; 4) Qing Bai bowl decorated with figures; 5) Qing Bai bowl decorated with leaves; 6) Yuan Dynasty melon fluted ewer (main illustration).

David Howell was a life long Art Fund member. He bequeathed a collection of oriental ceramics to various museums through the Art Fund, which he collected in the Far East whilst working for the British Council from the late 1950s to early 1990s.
