University of St Andrews Library

The University of St Andrews is Scotland's oldest University, founded in the early 15th century.

Its Library's Department of Special Collections is home to the University's outstanding collections of manuscripts, rare books, photographs and institutional archives. The collections are open to the public by appointment only whilst the department is in temporary accommodation pending the provision of a new facility in conjunction with a major refurbishment of the library facilities.
