The McManus is a splendid Gothic Revival building housing Dundee’s main collection. Recently given a £12 million facelift, the galleries offer a fascinating insight into Dundee, through exhibitions of art, history and the environment. The fine and decorative art collections, along with the whaling collection, are recognised as being of national importance. Look out for David Batchelor’s newly commissioned ArtFunded lightwork Waldella, Dundee which hangs through three floors of the central circulation core.
