The Sculpture Foundation is set in 26 acres of ancient woodland on the Sussex Downs. It is internationally recognised as the home of innovative 21st-century British sculpture, having commissioned large-scale work from over 120 artists including, Anthony Caro, Tony Cragg, Andy Goldsworthy, Antony Gormley, Thomas Heatherwick and David Mach. A walk around the estate is a delightful journey: each piece of work is revealed in its own space in the landscape, while benches, pavilions and other works by contemporary designers are scattered among the trees. Sculptures are for sale, to provide funding for new commissions.
