Our volunteers across the UK undertake vital work - contributing their time, skills and dedication to the work of the Art Fund.
Our massive year-round programme of fundraising, recruiting and event-planning depends crucially on the support of our volunteers whose unpaid efforts turn goodwill into achievement.
You may be an administrator, able to help at head office for a few hours a week. You may be a trained caterer, offering your services at events. You may be a meeter-and-greeter, suitable for welcoming guests who range from local donors and sponsors to loyal members and curators.
You do not have to know a lot about art to volunteer. We need many different skills to help us in our work so whatever your qualifications, experience, or interests, there will be a role that suits you. Volunteering can also provide opportunities for you to develop new skills and we will provide training where appropriate.
Clerical or secretarial duties at head office or on regional committees
Liaising with venues, speakers, coach operators, caterers
Producing local newsletters, being a friendly face at events or on visits
Giving talks and presentations about the Art Fund, networking, distributing leaflets
Building good relationships with the media, writing articles for the local press
Coming up with new event ideas or fundraising suggestions
Volunteering is a great way to meet people and to have fun, to gain new skills or develop existing ones – and it is an opportunity to make a real difference.
We are always looking to welcome new volunteers to our team. If you would like to take part, we would love to hear from you.
To register your interest, complete the Volunteers Application Form, and return it to Rosalie Neath, Head of Volunteering. For an informal chat, contact Rosalie on 020 7225 4863
