Support is Brewing for the Staffordshire Hoard

The famous Staffordshire Hoard can now be found in liquid form as innovative local brewer Austen Morgan has created an official Hoard Beer. Austen runs the Backhouse Brewery in Brownhills which is located just 500 yards from the spot where the Hoard was discovered.

Austen says: “The beer is a 3.9 per cent bitter with a golden straw look to it, so it is the perfect colour for a beer which represents this treasure.”

Five pence from every bottle sold and two pence from every pint on cask will go towards The Art Fund’s campaign to save the Hoard for the West Midlands. More information about how to buy the beer can be found at www.thebackyardbrewhouse.com
