Home to the Bedingfeld family since 1482, this romantic moated manor house charts history from medieval austerity to Victorian comfort. There is a magnificent Tudor gatehouse, secret doors, a priest’s hole and embroidery by Mary Queen of Scots and Bess of Hardwick. In the grounds are a French parterre and Catholic chapel.
