Established in 1849, Leicester's original museum has collections spanning the natural and cultural world. Located in the historic New Walk area of the city, its exhibitions feature works from the permanent collections and touring shows from national museums and ARTIST ROOMS. The art galleries showcase changing displays of Modern and Old Masters, alongside permanent presentations of Lord Attenborough’s Picasso ceramics and one of the most notable collections of German Expressionist art outside of Germany.
