This award-winning local history museum is housed in a fine Grade I listed Georgian town house. The house retains many original features, including a delightful walled garden. Amongst the personalities featured are William Cobbett and local author George Sturt. There is also a fine collection of paintings by local artists including Stephen Elmer, WH Allen, Harold Falkner and Sir John Verney. The previously derelict kitchen garden has been developed as a newly accessible outdoor education garden.
