Displays on ironstone mining, toys and games from the 1950s to the present day, plus natural and social history, are presented in a splendid 1710 Queen Anne building. A new major display – Anglo-Saxon Streethouse Princess – opened recently, and there are also temporary exhibitions of work by local artists.
