This friendly local museum is run by North Herts District Council, and covers Hitchin and the surrounding villages. There is a large display of social history, including costume and the Perks and Llewelyn Victorian pharmacy. The museum houses a large collection of art by FL Griggs and the Lucas family, among others. Works are shown in temporary exhibitions and many have been scanned to increase access to this wonderful resource. Research room available.
