Art Fund Members - free entry and exhibitions
A beautifully restored Georgian town house in which the great baroque composer Handel lived for 36 years and wrote timeless masterpieces such as 'Messiah' and 'Fireworks Music'. The Museum celebrates Handel’s life and music, as well as that of his contemporaries.
There are recitals every Thursday evening and regular weekend events in Handel’s intimate music room. The adjoining house, 23 Brook Street, was home to rock legend Jimi Hendrix in the late 1960s. It now hosts temporary exhibitions and displays from the museum’s collection, including an autograph leaf from the oratorio 'Esther' and a letter from Handel to Charles Jennens.
