The Museum in Docklands unlocks the history of London’s river, port and people in a 19th-century warehouse. Originally used to house imports of exotic spices, rum and cotton, the warehouse now holds a wealth of objects from whale bones to Second World War gas masks.

There are nine galleries and the exhibitions include ‘Mudlarks’, an interactive educational area for children, and ‘Sailortown’, an atmospheric re-creation of the streets and alleyways of riverside Wapping as they would have appeared in the early 19th century.
