In 1913, Edwin Young bequeathed his private art collection and a large collection of his own work, mainly watercolours, to the gallery. His work provides a unique record of life in the late Victorian and Edwardian countryside. Today the historic collection is complimented by watercolours by other artists, most recently William Lee-Hankey and Kenneth Rowntree.
