Down County Museum is a restored 18th-century gaol complex, adjoining the traditional burial place of Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. The collections include local archaeology, history, art, craft, and natural history. The museum holds permanent exhibitions on the history of County Down, restored gaol and cells, and a temporary exhibitions programme.
