Houses diverse collections, from Middlesbrough’s historic priory to the jungles South America. Eight permanent galleries have displays in local and natural history and ancient civilizations; there are two temporary exhibition galleries. Highlights include the vast collection of Linthorpe Pottery, with its advanced designs, and an interactive ‘H2O’ gallery with its water-theme.
