Small museum with excellent social history collection relating to the Yorkshire Dales, particularly costume, lead mining and printed material. The newly acquired Roebuck collection of paintings consists mainly of British pictures from the 20th century and some continental works. Also houses a nationally important collection of cave archaeology.
