The British Library is home to one of the world's greatest collections of books and manuscripts. As the national library of the United Kingdom, it holds a wealth of treasures that cover thousands of years, from all cultures and civilisations, and every corner of the globe. The library is a wonderful place for family and friends to meet and explore.

In the library, one can discover some of the most exciting and significant books, from the Magna Carta and the Gutenberg Bible, to Mozart and the Beatles, alongside remarkable manuscripts, maps, music scores, sound recordings, photographs and stamps. Marvel at the genius of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks, and see the earliest versions of some of the greatest works of English literature, including Alice's Adventures Under Ground by Lewis Carroll and the First Folio of Shakespeare's works.
