Tredegar House is one of the finest and most intriguing Restoration houses in Wales, with beautiful formal gardens, set in 90 acres of parkland. It was the ancestral home of the Morgan Family, later Lords Tredegar. Today visitors learn, on guided tours, about the history of the house, and the Morgan family themselves who provide many colourful stories.

Visit ‘below stairs’ and see how the servants would have worked. Other events run throughout the year, bringing the house and its history to life. The lavish state rooms to the Butlers Pantry are dressed to different points in the house’s history – from the late 17th century to the 1930s. The walls are hung with fine portraits of the family, from 17th-century panel portraits to works by Augustus John.
