An 1840s Italianate villa houses Scarborough’s fine art collection, which includes oils and watercolours of Scarborough by artists from the 19th century, such as James Wilson Carmichael and Atkinson Grimshaw, and works by 20th century artists such as Ivon Hitchens and Matthew Smith.
