Art Fund Members - free entry and exhibitions
Located in a Victorian house and park, Penlee House Gallery and Museum displays temporary exhibitions from its expanding permanent collection. The gallery features aspects of West Cornwall’s art history from 1880 to 1940, usually including the famous Newlyn School artists such as Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Walter Langley, Harold Harvey and ‘Lamorna’ Birch.
The museum collections cover the archaeology and social history of the Penwith district and there is an extensive photographic archive, holding thousands of images, which can be studied via a computer terminal within the Museum. Please note there is no permanent display and the gallery is occasionally closed for re-hanging.
