One of the UK's strongest collections of modern British art, including work by Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Peter Blake, Patrick Caulfield, Eduardo Paolozzi and Walter Sickert. Collections are housed in a grade 1 listed Queen Anne townhouse and contemporary wing designed by Professor Sir Colin St John Wilson.
An extensive programme of international temporary exhibitions, including works on paper in the print room shows, complement the collections. Since re-opening in 2006, Pallant House Gallery has received numerous awards for architecture and the arts. In 2007, the Gallery won the prestigious Gulbenkian Prize for museums and galleries, becoming the Museum of the Year.
