The medieval castle no longer exists, but in its place stands a magnificent 17th-century mansion - a museum and art gallery since 1878 with collections of silver, glass, armour and paintings. One of the museum's star attractions, the Wedgewood ceramics collection, is one of the finest in the world. Fifteen centuries of Nottingham history are brought to life through stories and interactive displays.
