Built in 1830 for Sir Robert Sheffield by Robert Smirke, Normanby Hall is a classical Regency mansion set in 300 acres of parkland. The interiors of Smirke's building were designed for comfort rather than ostentation; the rooms now display early 19th-century furniture and paintings. There is also a display of costumes. £4.80
