Newark Millgate Museum is housed in a Grade 2 Listed former mill on the banks of the River Trent. The museum displays social history collections, with objects dating from the 19th and 20th centuries that show the working and domestic life of people living in the Newark area. Temporary art exhibitions are held in the museum's Mezzanine Gallery.
