The Mercer Art Gallery exhibits British art from the 18th to the 20th century, including works by contemporary artists. Featured artists include William Powell Frith, Atkinson Grimshaw, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Dame Laura Knight and Alan Davie. It also houses the Kent Collection of British and Foreign Antiquities, and shows temporary exhibitions.
