Built in the 18th-century, Lydiard House was once the home of the St John Family. The ground floor state apartments contain exceptional plasterwork, original furniture and furnishings, family portraits from the 15th to 19th centuries and a rare 17th-century painted glass window. There is also a dressing room devoted to the 18th-century society artist, Lady Diana Spencer.
