A major 17th-century house adapted by its 18th- and 19th-century owners, displaying in their historic context the accumulated Howard Neville and Cornwallis collections. These include important early Neoclassical furniture designed by Robert Adam, a late 18th-century state bed, an outstanding series of British portraits from the 16th to the 19th century, and important natural history and representative silver collections.
