Scottish art is a major feature of Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery, which owns a large body of work by William McTaggart, the Scottish Colourist SJ Peploe, and the Glasgow Boys. Set in the attractive grounds of Kirkcaldy Town’s War Memorial Gardens, the museum also houses a collection of fine and decorative arts of local and national significance and displays of local history. These include the life and work of the celebrated economist Adam Smith, and industries such as coal mining and linoleum manufacture.
