Down County Museum is a restored 18th-century gaol complex, adjoining the traditional burial place of Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. The collections include archaeology, history, art, craft and natural history. The museum has permanent exhibitions on the history of County Down and a restored gaol and cells, as well as a temporary exhibitions programme.
