A branch of Southend Museums Service, the Beecroft Art Gallery is housed in an Edwardian building with magnificent estuary views. A selection of paintings from the fine historic collection is always on display, and there is a year-round programme of temporary exhibitions including the prestigious Essex Open exhibition and historic costume from the museum collection. Highlights include Constable’s On the Stour and Henry Bright’s Hadleigh Castle.
