Two original models and two bronze casts representing Truth and Religion made for the Alexandra Memorial situated near St James' Park in London. The memorial was an important commission for Gilbert and marks his return to respectability in Britain following his public disgrace for bankruptcy, fraud, and the stripping of his RA title.
