Description:
Tuke rented a cottage in Falmouth and it is from the cottage garden that this view was taken. The figures are Mrs Andrews and Mrs Fouracre, who is holding her baby Richard. Richard later appears in Tuke's well known work 'The Message' which is in Falmouth Art Gallery’s collection and was selected for the Royal Academy Art Treasures from England exhibition in 1998.
