Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe (1901 - 1979)

Tunnicliffe lived beside the tidal estuary near Anglesey from 1947 until his death and the wildlife of the area became his inspiration and his prime subject matter. He became renown for his measured drawings of birds which he meticulously painted from dead birds, brought to him by friends and neighbours as a reference source.
