A representative survey of the artist's finest, most popular images including 8 etchings and 7 drypoints. The etched plates of Venice arguably represent the pinnacle of McBey's career as a printmaker, where his economy of line, impressionistic treatment of surface, and dramatic effects of light are at their best. Also included are works from Boulogne during the First World War and two works from his period as official artist to the Palestine Expeditionary Front.
