Description:
A short letter from Sir Walter Scott to the sporting artist William Scrope inviting him and Williams to dinner at Abbotsford. Scrope later gave the letter to Williams who illustrated it with drawings of Abbotsford and the nearby picturesquely romantic ruin of Melrose Abbey.
