1) The hero, Rama, of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, is depicted with Sita, his consort, dressed in leaves in the forest where they have been exiled. It belongs to the Kangra school; 2) The elegant gathering of court women on the terrace is strongly contrasted with the lively pastoral scene with men and animals in the background and belongs to the Pahari or hills school of Indian art; 3) A prince and a 'tampura' player represent 'Dipak Raga', the song of fire and it was painted in Murshidabad in Bengal.
