Description:
The volume contains 42 works by William Byrd selected to reflect Byrd's own preferences and demonstrate how his music had matured over time. It contains some of Byrd's best-known keyboard music including Carman's Whistle and Sellinger's Round. The volume was completed by John Baldwin, the most famous music scribe of the time, but also shows corrections thought to be by Byrd himself.
