Schurman uses thermocollage as a distinctive, very personal technique. Thermocollage allows him to build up glass paintings in the form of windows, melting glass in the kiln with coloured oxides and blown glass inclusions. Purchased by the Art Fund with the assistance of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
