Description:
The nine perpex-topped light-tables contain beautifully shaped and crafted forms inspired by obstetric instruments. The very precision and fragility of Bevan's forms, transforms them from being clinically functional objects into artworks. The work reflects the tender emotions of mother and baby which run parallel to the literally hard and often interventive medical experience of modern childbirth.
