Description:
The figure of Sara, a professional model, is simplified to a pictogram and presented as a looped animation which represents her walking, endlessly and forever walking, recreating the fluidity of human locomotion. Like other works by Opie, this explores the middle ground between real life and the extremely simplified graphic form that we have become used to through a variety of media. Sara is recognisable from her distinctive, languorous stroll, yet she is to some extent anonymous as she is outlined rather than depicted.
