exhibited 1874

A view looking down Minster Street in Salisbury showing medieval buildings. It provides a record of restoration work being carried out on the Market (Poultry) Cross. This market cross has proved to be a popular subject with artists and illustrators and this depiction is especially important as it depicts the cross with repair work in progress.
