Description:
County Fermanagh landscape with a single tree to the right of the composition. The clouds are given semi-calligraphic treatment and the sky occupies 80% of the picture. The overall composition, the strange mixture of light in the sky, and the evocative mood of the landscape are all reminiscent of the Dutch artist Hobbema (1638-1709).
