A study for the wings of the altarpiece in Augsburg Cathedral completed in 1554. Centre panel: Madonna enthroned by angels; Wings: St Ulrich and St Afra. Below are 7 half length saints. The drawing differs slightly from the finished altarpiece: in place of four saints are members of the Hapsburg family.
