The piece is named after the butterfly 'Atrophaneura Alcinous' found in China, Japan and Taiwan. The inspiration for the vase came from observing the shapes and patterns on butterfly wings. This unique design adapts to become a flower container, her aim being 'to reverse the natural perception of a butterfly seeking flower; to flower attracted to the butterfly'.
